UPDATE: Elderly couple treated for burns after home fire in Outremont
An elderly couple was treated for 2nd degree burns following an early morning home fire in Outremont.
Flames broke out on the first floor of a triplex on Marsolais street Sunday morning.
The victims, a 79-year old man and an 82-year old woman, suffered burns to over 50 per cent of their bodies.
The fire department said there was no smoke alarm in the home and that the cause of the blaze was electrical.
Damage is estimated at over $70,000.
