WATCH: A mother wants to know how her son ended up dead after disappearing at Osheaga
The mother of an Ottawa man, whose body was pulled from the St. Lawrence River Monday, is demanding answers.
18 year old Collins Obiagboso disappeared Friday night while attending the Osheaga music festival.
His friends say he got lost in the crowd and was never seen again.
Obiagboso's mother, Georgina Mensa Boboe, spoke with CTV Montreal, remembering her son as kind and loving.
"It's really like mind-boggling to me that he's not here anymore because he's too young," she says.
Mensa Boboe says she doesn't understand how her son ended up in the river, adding he didn't know how to swim.
“I don't know how he ended up in the water,” she said. “I’m sure this type of festival would have security or bars around the water. I just want some answers.”
There are fences blocking access to the river near Osheaga’s site on Ile Notre Dame, but the fences do not surround the entire island.
Police say there were no marks of violence found on the body.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
