She could have been a victim in a bombing in Kabul.
A suicide bomber detonated a truck on Wednesday while Miriam Lindsay was heading to the Canadian Embassy.
The explosion killed 90 people and injured more than 400.
Lindsay works for an NGO in Afghanistan and was about to retrieve her passport.
In fact, she was just a few hundred meters from the blast.
She made a decision that saved her life.
She asked her driver to stop at a shop to run a quick errand.
