WATCH: Police go door to door in Cote des Neiges after attempted murder

Montreal police are going door to door in Cote des Neiges hoping for a lead in an attempted murder in the area in July.

Police tell CTV Montreal they're interviewing residents in the hopes of locating witnesses or the suspect.

"We are here today because we want to find some information by the citizens, any witnesses because we didn't have any witness at that time," says police spokesperson Benoit Boiselle.

A 32 year old man was shot several times outside a residence on Linton Avenue, near Decelles on July 16.

The victim remains in hospital in critical condition.

No arrests have been made but police say they are looking for a suspect described as a black man in his 30's, French speaking with dreadlocks that are dyed blonde at the tips.

Residents in the area admit the crime has left them feeling unsettled.
