WATCH: Police make arrest in hit-and-run crash that seriously injured tourist

Montreal police say they've found the driver of the car that was involved in a hit-and-run incident that seriously injured a Florida tourist in June.

It happened in the early morning hours of June 24 following a parking lot confrontation on the corner of St. Laurent and De Maisonneuve.

The 30-year-old tourist, Zachary Zelinsky, was rushed to hospital for serious head injuries following the crash, and is still recovering.

Police say the driver of the car, a black Infiniti G37, and a man who was a passenger in the car, turned themselves in to police.

The driver was questioned by investigators and released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.

It's not clear whether the passenger will face any charges.

A video surveillance camera in the parking lot recorded the incident. The Sun Youth Organization had offered a $3000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
