WATCH: Police searching for arson suspects
The Montreal police department has released video of two arson attacks just six days apart in hopes the public can help in identifying the suspects.
Both fires happened at the Pot Masson Bistro, 3141 Masson St. in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie.
The first was on December 20 at 2:34 A.M. Surveillance footage shows two suspects wearing blue hooded coats walk to the front of the restaurant before one of them tosses a Molotov cocktail through the front window. Both suspects fled the scene. No one inside the restaurant was hurt as employees quickly put out the flames.
Police describe the pair as white men, the first standing about six feet tall weighing around 180 pounds. The second man is shorter, standing about five feet seven inches, weighing in around 170 pounds. Both were wearing similar blue puffy coats, the taller man wore jeans while the shorter man wore blue cargo pants.
Six days later the bistro was hit again. Surveillance footage shows two individuals, one of them uses an ax to smash the front window while the other pours gasoline inside before lighting it on fire. While trying to flee the scene one of the suspects trips on the garland that had been setup for Christmas.
Investigators have not been able to confirm if the same suspects are behind the two fires.
