WATCH: Security stepped up for Grand Prix

The promoter of Montreal's Grand Prix admits that when you're organizing a big international event, terror attacks like the ones in recent weeks in England can't help but to rattle you a bit.

Francois Dumontier tells La Presse the atmosphere at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve may have been relaxed in the past but this week, visitors should expect searches at the gates.

Dumontier says heightened vigilance will be the order of the day.  He says he has consulted Montreal police, the SQ and the RCMP about security.

He adds, however, that people should not be afraid to take part in Montreal's large events.
