Weekend Road Closures August 3 - 6 - Major work on the Decarie 'Parking lot'
This week your weekend road closures are a good news bad news sort of deal.
The Good News: The closures list is considerably smaller than it usually is.
The Bad News: The part that is closed is likely going to make it a real nightmare getting around some popular parts of town.
Work on the St-Jacques St. overpass is going to force the complete closures of a large section of the north and southbound sides of the Decarie Expressway.
As of 8:30 P.M. Friday until Monday at 5:00 A.M. the Royalmount, Jean-Talon, Côte-Saint-Luc Road and Girouard entrances onto Highway 15 south will be closed.
As of 9:00 P.M. Friday until Monday at 5:00 A.M Exit 66 for Highway 15 south from Highway 40 west will be shut down.
As of 10:00 P.M. Friday until Monday at 5:00 A.M the northbound Decarie Expressway is closed from Turcot to the Edouard-Montpetit entrance. The ramps from Highway 20 east and Route 136 west towards Highway 15 north will also be closed.
Detours will have motorists taking Highway 20 to either Highway 520 or 13.
Highway 15 will also be closed at De la Vérendrye Boulevard starting Friday at 10:00 P.M. until Monday at 5:00 A.M., which could cause trouble for many returning to Montreal following the construction holidays.
The Mercier Bridge is still the Mercier Bridge, and should be avoided until August 20.
If after all this you need a little bit of good news, the planned closure ramps to and from Parc Jean-Drapeau have been postponed.
