Woman dies after she was found unconscious in Verdun park

Montreal police said a woman died after she was found unconscious at a park in Verdun.

A pedestrian found her early Sunday morning at LaSalle and Leclair.

It wasn't clear what happened to her and police said a coroner took over the investigation.

"Are we talking about maybe a health problem, maybe a momentary act, or maybe an agression?", said Montreal police spokesman Manuel Couture.

Investigators remained on the scene with the help of the canine unit.

The victim's name or age weren't yet known.
