Woman dragged in hit and run downtown
Montreal police are interviewing multiple witnesses and gathering surveillance footage after a hit and run downtown Wednesday night.
A 49 year old woman suffered serious injuries after she was dragged at least two blocks by a truck near the corner of Notre Dame and Robert Bourassa Boulevard.
Police are still trying to determine exactly what happened.
"As the police officers arrived on scene, they located a few witnesses and they told the police officers that a possible conflict occurred, " said media relations spokesperson Benoit Boiselle.
The woman was conscious when she was brought to hospital and is in stable condition.
The other driver fled the scene.
A number of streets in the area are closed while police investigate.
