Freddie’s Coming Back To TV!

…perhaps you’ve heard/seen, fall is here. Which meant snow for a good chunk of Alberta this weekend, that a full blown pumpkin spice assault is headed our way over the next month or so, and that the best time of year for horror movies has arrived. And on that latter note, let’s catch up with a few of our favourite horror franchises.

Freddie Krueger? He’s coming back, on TV, for the first time in fifteen years. This means a TON of makeup for 71 year old Robert Englund, the dude who plays him. Here’s where you can see Freddie this fall: https://goo.gl/c5nB2e

Michael Myers? Well, there’s a new Halloween movie coming, and for the latest trailer, they did something a little different. A true-crime style teaser.

And Jigsaw? Well, if you were pondering a SAW marathon this fall, you may want to reconsider that, according to this dude who binge watched seven in a row: https://goo.gl/JMWAJm

Ketchup Chips: Edible Canadiana?

…your next piece of unrequited reading is significantly lighter than the blood and guts mentioned above. This, from Vice. ‘How Ketchup Chips Became Edible Canadiana’, which essentially details the history of the ketchup chip, and Canada’s love of it: https://goo.gl/31pmRG

A Sandler Standup Special

…and finally, before you roll your eyes at this too hard, let me make a personal note. Yes, Adam Sandler’s movies have become more and more awful with each passing year. But this is a bit different. It’s a standup special. I got the chance to see Sandler do standup a couple of years ago, and it was very, very funny. For what the dude lacks in cinematic appeal, he makes up in stage presence.

So, hopefully this makes you a little more inclined to give THIS a chance.
