CONFIRMED: Tom Petty Gone At Age 66

After much hearsay, speculation, and jumping of the gun today, Tom Petty's manage has confirmed that the musician passed away today, at the age of 66. Petty's imprint on the rock landscape is enormous, and the tributes are already pouring in.

Here's what turned out to be the last song Tom played live, 'American Girl', at the Hollywood Bowl, to close a 53 date American tour. The legend stayed busy until the very end.
