Hundreds of Bikers Escort Bullied Boy to School
Hundreds of bikers from across the Maritime provinces rode the streets of Sydney, Nova Scotia Wednesday and escorted 10-year-old Xander Rose to school. Xander who is indigenous, has been the target of racial slurs, insults about his looks and even death threats by other students in the past year.
Xander's mother, Katie Laybolt said she reached out to the advocacy organization, Defenders of the Children after repeated complaints to school and community authorities didn’t stop the bullying. Laybolt says she didn't want her son to be another name on the list of children who have taken their life because of bullying.
Xander said, “It’s good, because I think from me getting all this help and support, I can also spread it to help others”. FULL STORY.
