WATCH: Chris Cornell's Final Performance in Detroit, Hours Before He Passed Away

Wow, this one hurts.

Crazy to think, twelve hours ago, Chris Cornell was getting ready to play a show in Detroit:

From all accounts, the show was classic Soundgarden, classic Cornell:

But what's really eerie? They closed with a song called, "In My Time of Dying", an old Louisianna street song that's been covered by Zeppelin and Bob Dylan, just to name a few. From what we can tell, the band hadn't played it recently, if ever at all.

"In my time of dying, want nobody to mourn
All I want for you to do is take my body home

Well, well, well, so I can die easy.

Well, well, well, so I can die easy.

Jesus, gonna make up my dyin' bed.
Meet me, Jesus, meet me. Meet me in the middle of the air
If my wings should fail me, Lord. Please meet me with another pair."

Rest in peace, Chris.
