Man charged after allegedly dragging girlfriend with car in Kingston, Ont.
KINGSTON, Ont. -- Police say a man has been charged after he allegedly dragged his girlfriend with his car in a hotel parking lot in Kingston, Ont.
Kingston police say the 25-year-old man had been arguing with his girlfriend of one month in the hotel all night, and continued to argue when they went to leave the hotel at about 7 a.m. Monday.
They say that the woman started to feel uncomfortable so she got out of the car, and the man then threw her belongings out after her and shut the door, catching the woman's jacket in it.
They say the man then started to drive away and "accelerated in a dangerous manner" while the woman yelled at him to stop because she was caught.
Police say the woman's jacket finally got loose, and she fell to the ground. She was treated in hospital for serious abrasions.
Investigators say the man was arrested and charged with dangerous driving and impaired driving.
