Ontario Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner is touring London Tuesday as part of his Clean and Caring Economy Tour.
"The Green Party is bringing our vision of how we can seize opportunities in the $26-trillion clean economy, the fastest growing sector of the global economy," Schreiner says.
On Tuesday morning Schreiner took part in a tree after-care program with Reforest London in the Byron neighbourhood.
"You know one of the best ways to combat climate change is to plant trees, so you hear the Ford government cancelling tree planting programs, unfortunately. We want to be part of the solution," he added.
In the afternoon he toured Heeman’s Berry Farm in Thorndale, Ont. and promoted the party's plan for Ontario farmers.
Schreiner is touring Southern Ontario this summer to bring awareness to the Green Party’s plan to take advantage of what he calls the fastest growing economy in the world.
He begins a tour of Northern Ontario starting in September.
