“REVEALED: Céline Dion shakes a bronze replica of her late husband René Angélil's hand every night before hitting the stage to perform,” screams a Daily Mail headline.
At Just Jared, the headline reads: “Céline Dion Shakes Her Late Husband René Angélil's Hand Every Night.”
Of course, true Céline Dion fans know this is old news. Back in 2016, the Canadian singer showed CBS Sunday Morning how she knocks on wood and touches the cast of Angélil’s hand before every performance.

The Independent's headline claimed the bronze replica of Angélil's hand is "in her dressing room." In fact, it's backstage.
The so-called revelation about the hand comes from an interview with Australia’s Stellar, in which Dion once again talks about her beloved husband, who died in January 2016 after a long cancer fight.
“He did a great job,” she said. “What he had been giving to me all his life and all my life will always be with me.”
Dion said she continued to perform while Angélil was ailing because “that’s what he wanted the most.”

She explained: “So I went back onstage while he was still alive; he wanted to make sure I could keep going. So I did prove to him, yes, I could keep going.
“I told him I’ve got the kids and that he’s got to trust me, he’s got to relax. I guess before he left he wanted to make sure I was fine.”
Dion added: “I’m trying to prove to him every day I’m fine. Our kids are growing, we feel strong. We’re good.”
The Quebec-born singer said she has no big plans for her 50th birthday on March 30.
“I’m not a birthday girl, not even when I was 20,” she said. “To be honest, I’d rather be doing a show. But five is my lucky number, so I’m quite excited to turn 50.
“I'm going to make my birthday with my children; maybe go bowling, or go to the movies, or sit in bed watching the Disney Channel... I'll have my birthday my way, on a day off.”
