YG's Home Raided In Connection With Police Shooting
TMZ has reported that YG's Hollywood Hills home was raided in connection with a shooting involving a vehicle registered to the rapper. Sheriff's sources told TMZ that the house is leased by YG, but he was not detained, nor was he present during the raid. Deputies obtained a search warrant in connection with the deadly police shooting that took place in Compton earlier this month.
The site reports that one person on the scene was arrested for a weapons charge, while several others were handcuff and placed in patrol cars while the search was conducted.
The raid stems from an incident on July 3rd, where shots were fired from inside of a black Cadillac Escalade, striking a deputy officer. An innocent bystander was also killed during the crossfire between police and the shooter, which led to a high-speed chase.
As previously reported, YG denied that he was involved in the incident. He said, "I was nowhere near the scene of this incident and had been in a recording studio all day in Hollywood. I was there until after midnight on the 4th of July and didn't learn of these events until after they happened."
