Provincial Government Seeking Rural Development Input

BC's government is asking for your help in putting together a new rural development strategy.

The new strategy will be built primarily upon the principals of economic development in rural areas across the province.

"Well we are hoping to hear back how communities and the people that live in them, especially rural communities find the resilience to make it through the ups and downs of the natural resources of the economy. As well as how they think government can support that resilience they find." Said Rural Development Minister, Doug Donaldson.

A number of face to face sessions will be held around the province up until February 28th.

Following the completion date, the Ministry will analyze the results and develop the framework for a new strategy which will be made available to the public.
