Terrace Product Signs With The Victoria Royals
Carson Golder grew up and played his minor hockey in Terrace, and this season he could be suiting up for the Victoria Royals of the Western Hockey League.
The Royals have signed the 16-year old defenseman, whom they say has a chance to make the roster right out of training camp.
Victoria's General Manager Cameron Hope says he's excited to watch Golder grow and develop as a hockey player.
"He's a very very smart hockey player, a guy who seems to be making exponential progress in his development. He's got a little ways to go but I would expect to see him get into the games and maybe make it as a rookie."
The Royals originally added Golder to their protected roster in June of this year, but didn't sign him to a contract until this week.
Victoria finished 2nd in the BC division last year behind the 1st place Kelowna Rockets.
