Terrace Woman Representing First Ever Team Indigenous
A Terrace native is departing for Manchester, England tomorrow to be apart of Team Indigenous at the Roller Derby World Cup.
This is the first time a Team Indigenous will be included in the festivities, and Sash Wesley of the northcoast nightmares couldn't be more excited.
"To be able to actually meet them in person I'm most excited about, and then when the event actually gets going and we get to meet with other teams and other players from around the world. I'm pretty excited about that." Sash "Bash-Full" Wesley said.
The mother of eight said she's been preparing for months including regular video conference calls with her teammates and coaches.
The games get going on February first, and team Indigenous will kick things off in their first game against Italy.
