Castlegar Parks and Trails Society gearing up for another busy year

The Castlegar Parks and Trails Society has another busy year in store, once the snow melts.

Spokesperson Lawrence Redfern says last year they completed quite a bit of work on the Trail Canada Trail, with completion expected before Canada's 150th this Summer.

They also finished three quarters of the bicycle park in Castlegar's Millennium Park.

He says they get a lot of volunteers out to help.

The cost of the two projects is in the half a million dollar range, with funding from the RDCK, the Feds, and City of Castlegar among other grants.

Redfern also says they have good business support in the community.
