Money from the province going to Kootenay Rockies Tourism Assocation

The Kootenay Rockies Tourism Association is one of two groups receiving money from the province to help them deal with this year's devastating wildfire season.

The government has announced that the Thompson-Okanagan Tourism Association and the Kootenay Rockies Tourism Association will each get 200-thousand dollars to help with tourism recovery needs in areas impacted by the fires.

Destination BC is also working on a marketing plan to help the province's tourism industry recover and let visitors know that most of the province is open for business.
