RDCK adopts 5 year financial plan
The RDCK has adopted their 5 year financial plan.
While taxation in the General Administration service won't change from 2016, the rural administration service will increase by 28 percent to expand the RDCK FireSmart program, and hire a part time bylaw officer....it translates to an extra 9-dollars on a 300-thousand dollar home.
CAO Stuart Horn says the major projects the RDCK is undertaking in 2017 align to the strategic priorities the board identified in 2016, including a parks and trails inventory, agricultural extension services, FireSmart work and wildfire mitigation.
Total taxation for the District is approximately $25.7 million.
