RDCK has approval to borrow close to 1.9 million for Arrow Creek Water System
Only 7 eligible voters said they opposed the borrowing, so the RDCK will be able to borrow close to 1.9 million dollars for the Arrow Creek Water System.
It passed through the alternative approval process.
The Arrow Creek system provides water to residents in Erickson and the Town of Creston.
The money will go towards replacement of the concrete main line, add a 2nd reservoir, and construct a clear well for the Arrow Creek Water Treatment and Supply Service System.
It's part of a multi phase project that started in 2008 to address the poor condition of the water main and to improve the quality and sustainability of the treatment system.
The RDCK has received over 4 million from the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund for Phase 5.
