US Travel Moratorium passed by Kootenay Columbia School District Board

There's now a moratorium in the Kootenay Columbia School District when it comes to US Travel.

That passed last week, although Board Chair Terry Ferworn says they've put a time limit on it to review again in September, or if something changes between now and then.

The proposed US Travel ban is still before the courts in the US, but Ferworn says that could change at any time.

Meanwhile the school board has made a decision to postpone the implementation of any kind of International Student Program to attract more International students to the district.

Ferworn says they're just too busy at this point with strategic planning, and the new teacher staffing they'll need to reach new class size ratios.
