Winter Operations Budget already spent for the year in Trail

The City of Trail is likely hoping for a slow start to the winter later this year, that after going over budget when it comes to winter operations.

Although it's only April, they've already gone more than 30-thousand dollars over the 544-thousand dollar budget for the entire year when it comes to things like snow removal...

Chris McIssac is the new Director of Public Works...he says the early season extended snowfall ate up the budget...and that's the first time he's seen that in his 10 years with the city.

He says they're going to be tracking budget costs for the rest of the year, and the City CAO recommending getting the extra funding from surpluses.
