A recent arson at the West Boundary Landfill near Greenwood could lead to security changes
The RDKB Solid Waste Coordinator says a recent arson at the West Boundary Landfill near Greenwood, was dangerous for staff, first responders, adjacent property owners, and affects all taxpayers.
Three woodpiles were lit on the night of July 3rd, as well as two pieces of heavy equipment.
Fortunately the Greenwood Fire Department responded quickly or damage could have been much worse.
Tim Dueck says it's not the first time there's been an act of vandalism there, and it's a big cause for concern.
He says they're looking at options when it comes to security.
They're hoping anyone with information will call RCMP.
