Another partial roof collapse in Nakusp this week

There have been 3 incidents in 11 days in Nakusp when it comes to collapsed roofs.

Fire Chief Terry Warren says two involved homes where people were trapped and had to be rescued, then in another incident this week, a balcony collapsed from the main house onto a woman's truck below....fortunately no injuries there.

Warren says he hasn't seen a winter like this since he was a kid in the 60's.

As for concerns about other roofs in the village, Warren says if you go to the National Research Council website and click on snow loads, it has information on when to shovel a roof.

He says he's hoping things will improve with weather forecast to hit double digits in Nakusp next week.
