Assessment and danger tree removal at Castlegar Nordic Ski Club this year
Dangerous Tree removal will likely be done this summer, after a tragic accident over the winter claimed the life of a 72 year old man at the Castlegar Nordic Ski Club.
A tree had fallen on the victim who was grooming trails at the time.
A member of the Executive Al Skakun, says they made the decision not to re-open after the tragedy.
This summer they're going to be doing a full assessment, and dangerous tree removal.
Because the Paulson ski trails are a designated Provincial Recreation Site, Rec Sites and Trails BC will be coordinating assessments and removal.
Skakun says they'll also be doing an overall review of their entire safety program
