Boundary Similkameen MLA looking to end the time change

The Boundary Similkameen MLA is hoping this weekend's time changes will be one of the last ones.

Linda Larson has put through another Private Members Bill asking to stop changing the time.

And it's something that's gaining traction, it's being discussed in Europe, the US and Alberta, and she'd like to see BC be the leader.

She says it's a 100 year old albatross, that came in for a very specific purpose to save coal after World War I, and it's not necessary anymore.

Larson says the best way to get the province to look at the bill is to put pressure on the Premier and local MLA's, by writing, emailing or texting.

Meanwhile we lose an hour of sleep this weekend as we spring ahead for daylight savings time.
