Busy few days for local Search and Rescue groups
Another day, another search in the West Kootenay.
On Monday, Nelson Search and Rescue was called out to a couple of incidents.
They had South Columbia Search and Rescue come out and help.
In one incident there was a stuck sledder just outside of Nelson..he was stuck for 6 hours before he activated his spot beacon Monday night, asking for help.
Teams located him and had him dug out and back down to the staging area by 10:30 at night, he was cold and tired but otherwise in good condition.
Crews were also called out Monday night to search for a missing skier on Whitewater.
Teams weren't able to locate the man that night, so resumed the search in the morning.
He was located by helicopter and rescued by 9:30 in the morning.
No injuries there either, the man had just gotten turned around in poor weather.
Search and rescue teams from around the region were also out Saturday night and Sunday morning, rescuing a couple of sledders on the Bombi.
