Busy few days for Trail RCMP
Trail RCMP have referred a dumping incident to the BC Conservation Service.
On Friday, they received a report of a commercial truck dumping waste water into the Columbia River.
Police discovered evidence that grey water or waste water had been dumped onto the banks and into the water of the river.
The owner of the commercial truck suspected of dumping the waste has been identified.
Meanwhile RCMP conducted a road safety check stop on Bluebird Road in Fruitvale Friday night, checking upwards of 50 vehicles.
One driver was issued a 3 day immediate roadside prohibition, and several warnings were also issued.
In Trail on Saturday RCMP pulled over an alleged impaired driver on Pine Avenue in Trail.
The 58 year old woman was found to be under the influence of alcohol and failed a roadside screening device breath test.
The driver was issued a 90-day Immediate Driving Prohibition and had her vehicle impounded for 30 days.
Trail RCMP say they'll continue their enhanced campaign against impaired driving.
