Castlegar B & E suspect may have been shot
A suspect in a Castlegar B and E may have been shot over the weekend.
Castlegar RCMP are investigating a break and enter early Sunday morning at the Chameleon Restaurant in Castlegar.
The restaurant owner who lives upstairs, said when he was awoken by a noise, he went to investigate, armed with a small calibre handgun.
During the confrontation the owner was bear sprayed and discharged the handgun, possibly striking the suspect who then fled.
The suspect was wearing a brown hoodie and had his face covered.
RCMP also located clothes nearby which they believe were associated with the incident.
The suspect has not been identified or located, and RCMP are trying to find out if he's ok.
