Castlegar Community Harvest Food Bank hoping residents will be generous
The Castlegar Community Harvest Food Bank is getting ready for a busy holiday season.
Spokesperson Deb McIntosh says they're fundraising for food and monetary donations for their Christmas hampers.
She says there's still a lot of need in the community, they're seeing more seniors and working poor.
They usually do 250 hampers for Christmas, along with up to 250 food hampers per month, and 3 hot meals per week.
Food can be dropped off at City Hall, the Fireside, or you can call McIntosh 365-8076.
Meanwhile she says the Holiday Train coming though December 12th is always a big boost for them.
