Castlegar Complete Streets Project moving into week 3
The Castlegar Complete Streets Project is moving into week 3 or work.
Marwest Communications Coordinator Stephanie Pelletier says after the initial issue with the gas leak the first week, traffic flow has been fairly steady.
She says traffic flow will remain fairly smooth for the next couple of weeks until grinding begins again, although vehicles may be delayed for a few minutes at peak traffic times.
She says despite rumours to the contrary, left hand turns are permitted through the construction zone, onto 15thStreet, and Selkirk Avenue while travelling South, and 13th street and onto Christina Place when travelling North..
Meanwhile drivers are reminded to obey all Traffic Control Personnel.
Traffic fines double in construction zones and are being enforced by the RCMP.
