Death being investigated at Castlegar Nordic Ski Club

A 72 year old man grooming the trails was the victim in last Friday's accident at the Castlegar Nordic Ski Club in the Nancy Greene area.

Corporal Darryl Orr says police and search and rescue were called out to recover the victim, after a skier using the trails came across the accident scene.

According to Orr it appears a fallen tree may have been the cause of death.

The BC Coroners Service, RCMP and Worksafe BC continue to investigate.

At last word, trails were still closed, while hazard assessments were being done
