Historic Sexual Assault case may have victims in Nakusp

The Nakusp RCMP are looking for possible victims of sexual assault in the community, dating back to the 1960's.

It's part of an ongoing historical sexual assault investigation generated by the Victoria Police.

Corporal Dan Moskaluk says the Victoria Police arrested 71 year old Harry Charles Sadd of Victoria last year in connection with a series of alleged sexual assaults.

The man was a former youth badminton coach who has previous convictions for sexual assaults involving young males.

He lived in Nakusp from the mid 1960's to the mid 1970's.

12 victims have come forward to date, but investigators believe there are other victims.

Police are asking victims or anyone who might have information to contact Nakusp RCMP or their local detachment.

 Sadd currently faces 23 counts of indecent assault and one count of Sexual assault.
