Incident at Trail High School dealt with according to officials
There have been some concerns about an incident involving JL Crowe Secondary School in Trail.
Kootenay Columbia Superintendent Bill Ford says an issue has been dealt with.
Ford confirms there was a social media posting by a student at Crowe that was of concern. It was reported to the school's administration fairly quickly, and the school was able to react immediately.
He says local resources including RCMP were involved from the get-go and they wouldn't have students or staff entering the building if they felt there was a risk.
Ford says they feel the situation is well in hand, and the school today is as safe as it was yesterday.
He says while some people have decided not to send their kids to school which is up to parents, they're hoping students will return to school as soon as possible to finish the school year.
