Kids are back in school, that means local police will be monitoring school zones
Motorists are being reminded to respect speed zones, school buses, and crosswalks as the kids head back to school today.
ICBC says said every year in the Southern Interior, one child walking or cycling is killed and 42 are injured in crashes every year. In school and playground zones, 13 children are injured every year.
Police around the region will be monitoring school zones, targeting speeders.
School zones are back to 30 km's an hour from 8am to 5pm.
