LCIC says Metal Tech Alley Initiative has already met goals for the year
The Executive Director of the Lower Columbia Initiatives Corporation says things have been going even better than expected when it comes to Metal Tech Alley, an economic marketing strategy that re-brands the area outside of the region.
Terry Van Horn says at it's core is the i4C innovation centre, a 40-thousand square foot facility across from the Trail Airport.
She says they've already met their goals this year and the community has really been behind the initiative.
There are new companies coming to the region, and existing companies expanding, according to Van Horn.
Aretas, a sensor development company has joined forces with i4C, as well as a block chain and cryptology for smart contracts company that's moved to the area.
She also says they have a couple of Brazillian companies coming in February.
