Lost skier rescued in Rossland area
A skier spent a cold night in the Rossland area Wednesday.
RCMP and Search and Rescue were called out, after a lone skier went out on Record Ridge, and got lost on his way back down the mountain.
It was a bright night with the full moon, but the skiers headlamp stopped working, and it was dark in the trees, so he called 9-1-1.
It took 3 and a half hours to locate the skier in a gully, in good health.
He was taken to hospital for a check up.
