Nelson man to stand trial for allegedly swimming naked in a shark tank
A Nelson man accused of swimming naked in a shark tank at a Toronto aquarium is scheduled to stand trial in September.
Crown and defence lawyers have agreed to trial dates of September 19th and 20th.
Toronto police allege that David Weaver assaulted a man outside a Medieval Times last October, then two hours later went to Ripley's Aquarium, stripped off his clothes, and jumped into the shark tank.
After a short swim the man emerged unscathed.
