Nelson Police dealing with more calls for service, including transient camping, drugs and alcohol
The Nelson Police are having a busy week.
They've seen an increase in calls for service, including calls about more transient camping within the city, and debris being left behind by individuals sleeping outdoors.
Police have also noticed an increase in impaired driving by both alcohol and drugs in recent days, with a number of vehicles seized and drivers licenses suspended.
They've also had several calls for service when it comes to people consuming alcohol and drugs in the downtown core.
One file of note, police were called to a downtown business where a fight was in progress involving a knife.
One man was taken to hospital after suffering from a laceration.
Police are investigating.
