New Management Structure on the way for Kettle River Watershed
Organizers are hoping a new management structure will create positive impacts in the Kettle River Watershed.
They're now in the process of selecting a local board of directors for the Kettle River Watershed Authority who will make recommendations in accordance with the 'Kettle River Watershed Management Plan'.
RDKB Area C Director and Kettle River Watershed Steering Committee Chair Grace McGregor says it changes the message, rather than changing the interest...with water getting more and more important all the time.
There's a an event tomorrow (Tuesday) in Greenwood at the McArthur Centre from 3 to 8 which includes a tour of the Jewel Lake cut block, dinner, presentations and a round table discussion.
