One more approval needed before construction of Trail Skate Park begins in July

The City of Trail is one step away from all systems go when it come to the construction of the skatepark at the Gyro Park Boat Launch.

They're  just waiting for one more approval from a permit application to the Ministry of Forests  Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development.

Construction by New Line SkateParks is scheduled to start in July.

Mayor Mike Martin says project consultants and the city have been working to firm up the project, which is now at the 50-75 percent design phase for construction.

Completion is scheduled for the end of September.

Meanwhile the cost is 650-thousand dollars, with funds raised by the Skatepark Committee, 2 big funding grants from the CBT and the Murphy Family Foundation, with the rest covered in the city's capital budget.
