Parents still have questions about the new Affordable Child Care Benefit
The new Affordable Child Care Benefit means more parents will have a portion of their daycare paid for by the province...but there are still some parents with questions.
Sue McIntosh is with the Trail and Castlegar Child Care Resource and Referral Program.
She says the new benefit plans means that parents making up to 110-thousand dollars will get the funding, compared to 42-thousand in the previous program, so that will mean more parents will be able to return to the workforce.
But there are a lot of changes, it's done online now and parents need to set up a parent portal.
They're holding another parent session in Castlegar Tuesday night at 6:30 at Kootenay Family Place, you can also call the Trail and Castlegar CCRR or head by the office in Trail for more information.
