Police will be out in full force, with festivals near Salmo and Grand Forks
It's going to be a busy weekend on local highways with two big festivals in the area, CannaFest in Grand Forks, and Shambhala in the Salmo Area.
West Kootenay Traffic Services Sergeant Chad Badry says residents should expect enhanced traffic safety enforcement.
There are more than 15-thousand people here for Shambhala.
RCMP will be looking for aggressive and impaired drivers to keep local highways safe.
Meanwhile the enforcement continues Monday after Shambala ends, Badry says they'll be focusing on fatigued and impaired drivers at that point.
