RDCK has voted in favour of entering into a Collective Agreement with Recycle BC
The RDCK Board has now approved entering into a Collective Agreement with Recycle BC.
The agreement will develop and initiate service at 12 core depot locations and proposed satellite locations for a 5 year term.
That includes four high-traffic and centrally located depots to launch in July or August, the Ootischenia Landfill, Crescent Valley Hall, Nelson Lakeside and Town of Creston.
Satellite depots will also be developed for launch at Grohman Narrows Transfer Station and Creston Landfill.
Other communities in the RDCK will continue to be served by the current “green bin” recycling program as more locations transition to the Recycle BC system throughout the summer and fall.
