RDCK holding a Public Hearing this week on proposed land use regulations for cannabis
Residents and stakeholders will have a chance to review the Regional District of Central Kootenay's proposed land use regulations for cannabis this week.
The RDCK is moving forward with consideration of new land use regulations when it comes to retail sales, cultivation and processing, and they're looking for community feedback.
There's a public hearing on Thursday at 6 at the RDCK Board Room in Nelson.
For those who can't attend, they can submit written comments in advance by emailing the planning department.
The proposed regulations are intended to support a safe and sustainable transition of the cannabis industry within the RDCK, and will be applicable throughout the Regional District.
They came out of sub regional workshops in the summer, and an online survey.
